Fans can soon watch The Trial on Disney+ Hotstar. Details regarding the same were shared by the makers recently. The leading lady of the show, Kajol, took to Twitter and said,”The tougher the trial, the harder you come back! The Trial: Cast and Crew

The show is directed by Suparn Verma and will also star Jissu Sengupta, Kubrra Sait, Alyy Khan and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles. Suparn also serves as the showrunner of the series which is presented by Banijay Asia. More details about the cast and the technical crew are yet to be revealed.

The Trial: Premise

The show is presented as the Hindi adaptation of popular American legal and political drama – The Good Wife. The story revolves around a resilient woman who must rebuild her life and pursue a career as a lawyer after her husband’s scandalous downfall. Returning to work at a junior level, at a prestigious law firm, she faces a demanding and cutthroat environment, taking on complex cases that challenge her skills and convictions. As she navigates the intricacies of the legal world, she must balance her professional ambitions with the personal struggles she faces as a mother and the complicated dynamics of her relationships, all while striving to find her own voice and seek justice in a morally ambiguous landscape.

The Trial: Pre-release Buzz

Ahead of the announcement, Kajol shared a cryptic social media post informing the followers of taking a break. The message said, “Facing one of the toughest trials of my life… Taking a break from social media.”

While many expressed concerns for the same and sent their good wishes, some were able to grasp the hint and understand the promotional gimmick of the post.
