Samsung typically introduces a new pair of wireless earbuds each year, often in conjunction with the launch of their Foldable devices. However, this year, the company has deviated from its usual schedule, but recent developments suggest that a new set of earbuds is in the works.

As reported by Dutch news outlet GalaxyClub, Samsung has apparently published a user manual for the unannounced Galaxy Buds FE. These earphones bear the model number SM-R400N, and it’s speculated that they will make their debut alongside the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE.

Another FE product coming soon

Looking at the images provided in the manual, it becomes evident that the design of the Galaxy Buds FE closely resembles that of the Galaxy Buds+ released two years ago. They feature a sizable touch surface and attachable wingtips, providing a sense of familiarity to Samsung users. Furthermore, the charging case for the Galaxy Buds FE shares a striking resemblance to that of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.

The case for the Galaxy Buds FE is shown in white, suggesting that this color variant will be available at launch. Notably, the earbuds are equipped with a total of four microphones, two on each earbud, a wear detection sensor, and silicon ear tips. It remains uncertain whether the Galaxy Buds FE will support wireless charging or advanced features like the Samsung Seamless Codec Hi-Fi.

With the emergence of the Galaxy Buds FE, it is clear that Samsung is expanding its lineup of Fan Edition devices, with three such products slated for launch in the near future. These include the Galaxy S23 FE, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and now the Galaxy Buds FE.
