Marking the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the makers of Sky Force took to social media to announce the film. JioStudios shared a special message on X (formerly Twitter) which read, “Proudly unveiling the untold true story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike, Sky Force! Starring Akshay Kumar & introducing Veer Pahariya, the film presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan takes flight in cinemas next Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti on 2nd October 2024.”

Meanwhile, the OTT rights of Sky Force are likely to be given to JioCinema, considering that the film is being produced by JioStudios. However, no official announcement has been made.

Directed by Abhishek Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force features a talented ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan. The 1965 airstrike at Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase, carried out by Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots flying Hawker Hunter fighter jets, marked a turning point in the India-Pakistan War.
