Xiaomi Pad 5 has received a permanent price cut in India. The company has revised the price of last year’s tablet ahead of the Xiaomi Pad 6’s launch, which is set to take place on June 13th, 2023.

In April this year, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro in China. The Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipsets are respectively powering these models. As per reports, the Pro will not be released in markets outside of China. However, the Pad 6 is coming to multiple markets, including India. The Xiaomi Pad 5 announced 128GB and 256GB storage options in April 2022. These variants have been available for Rs 26,999 and Rs 28,999, respectively, since launch. With a price cut of Rs 1,000, the base model can now be purchased for Rs 25,999. The higher version can be bought for Rs 28,499 after a discount of Rs 500.

In addition to the revised pricing, the Xiaomi Pad 5 variants can be purchased with an additional discount of Rs 2,500 using an ICICI Bank credit card. The tablet comes in Cosmic Grey colour only.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 is a Wi-Fi-only device that has an 11-inch LCD panel that supports a resolution of 1,600 x 2,560 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:10, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device runs on Android 13 OS and MIUI 14. It comes with support for optional accessories, such as a stylus and a keyboard. For audiophiles, the tablet is equipped with four speakers.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Pad 5 has a Snapdragon 860 chipset. The tablet’s 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage editions are equipped with 6GB of RAM. It houses an 8,720mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

The Pad 5 has an 8-megapixel camera on the front. On the back, it has a 13-megapixel camera with an LED flash. Apart from Wi-Fi, the device offers connectivity options, such as Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB Type-C port.
