In an interesting development, Indian actress Anushka Sharma was spotted with the OnePlus Open. Paparazzi surrounded the actress, and a video posted by Indian Paparazzo Viral Bhayani captured the moment. In the video, Sharma showcases the OnePlus foldable from various angles.

However, what makes this video particularly interesting is Sharma’s apparent unfamiliarity with the device. She unfolds it unconventionally, and the phone doesn’t appear powered on. This has led to speculation that the entire scene may have been a staged stunt by OnePlus to intentionally “leak” the phone before the official launch, a marketing tactic previously used by OnePlus’s parent brand, OPPO.

The design of the OnePlus Open foldable, as revealed in the video, aligns with earlier leaks. Under the hood, it’s rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The camera setup is expected to include a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultrawide-angle lens, and a 64MP periscope zoom lens.

Software-wise, the OnePlus Open is rumoured to feature the newly designed OxygenOS 13 Build, optimized for foldable devices. As per earlier leaks, the phone will be juiced by a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

While OnePlus has yet to confirm these details officially, rumours are circulating that the OnePlus Open foldable phone might make its grand debut on October 19.
