Star Wars Andor Season 2 Delayed

Initially aimed for a summer 2024 release, the second season of Andor is now likely to debut in 2025. This is disappointing news for the fans awaiting the return of Cassian Andor. According to a recent report by Disney+, several shows are coming back in 2024. However, the second season of Andor wasn’t on the list. As per sources, the series is facing production issues, which include the recent 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Even though optimists aren’t ruling out a 2024 release entirely, it is doubtful that the second season will premiere in the coming year.

Let’s not lose hope too soon as 2025 is expected to bring both Andor Season 2 and the fourth season of The Mandalorian. This mix aligns with Disney CEO Bob Iger’s recent emphasis on a more measured release strategy for big brand names.

Andor Season One Storyline 

The American sci-fi show Andor has been directed by Tony Gilroy for Disney+. This live-action show is the fourth instalment in the Star Wars story and happens before Rogue One which was released in 2016 and the old Star Wars movie which was released in 1977. The story is propelled by Cassian Andor who goes from being a thief to a spy for the rebels in the five years leading up to both the movies. Primarily, the show is about rebels coming together against the big Galactic Empire.
